Tim DeSouza

With a plumbing career spanning over four decades, Tim is a seasoned expert who has seen—and done—it all. He officially began his journey in the plumbing industry in 1981, taking a job with high school friends at a remodeling company. From there, he worked his way through every corner of the trade, handling everything from residential and commercial builds to service work, remodels, and new construction. Or, as Tim puts it, “Everything! From the outhouse to the penthouse!”

Tim has been in a supervisory role since 1997, leading teams, coordinating projects, and ensuring quality workmanship. A natural teacher, he’s known for sharing his knowledge, pushing his team to succeed, and recognizing their accomplishments when they do. “Nobody is perfect. Mistakes will happen,” he says. “It doesn’t matter who’s responsible—what matters is how we fix it and prevent it from happening again.”

Joining Premium Plumbing in 2016, Tim now plays a key role in overseeing projects across the St. Petersburg and Tampa areas. His responsibilities include managing manpower, coordinating with foremen and general contractors, site recon, scheduling, troubleshooting conflicts, and supervising the foremen on-site. For Tim, the most rewarding part of his job is resolving issues, providing solutions that benefit all parties, and seeing his team succeed. He takes particular pride in hearing acknowledgment from other professionals about the quality of Premium’s work.

Tim describes his leadership style as open and communicative, emphasizing the importance of passing on experience, challenging his team, and ensuring that everyone is set up to succeed. His approach is simple but powerful: “Communication, communication, communication.”

When he’s not coordinating projects or mentoring his crew, Tim enjoys life in St. Petersburg and Tampa. His team might be surprised to learn he loves to cook—sometimes. He’s a firm believer that the best projects are the ones where a simple solution can make someone’s day. His motto? “I don’t know everything… but I do know what NOT to do! At least some of the time.”

For Tim, being part of the Premium Plumbing family is all about commitment to excellence and continuous improvement—a shared vision that sets the company apart in the commercial plumbing industry.
